Not a bad bout here, gentlemen. Both teams had hits and missess, issues with a few areas. I feel one took this with some stronger, harder hitting punches than the other. Fairs in, I’m out. Best of luck to which ever team goes through.

Expos:

EtH tried to get illmania 5 to happen by having a crew draft, it never took off.

As a teen he admitted be use to pose online as a blood.

Rieper was undefeated on his account (in normal text battles) until Rai ended his streak recently.

Scott Storch lost his fortune from a coke addiction. Eth is Scottish from Glasgow.

Low to high. I think ones verse was solid. A few personals that were pretty good. Out of all the punches I think most were in the 7/10 range. There were a couple here and there that didn't appeal to me but the ones that I found that were bangers made up for it. I really enjoyed the Epstein set up and punch as well as the mcgregor submission. Sub and cel- also some solid personals, pretty decently built up. Didn't care for the dentist brushes line, unique concept but didn't hit hard for me. Really liked the scots torch and the Ropunzal closer. I think overall, both verses were similar in that both had just as many highs and lows as the other but I feel ones highs were higher if that makes sense. Pretty solid battle from both tho. Good luck.

Dopeeee battle here. Such a hard one to call i felt both teams had ones and downs. EtH/Lock i wasnt feelin the opening up to the cavity line. It felt like you were dissin Celsius for NOT getting emotional at personals? Didnt really land for me. Conor - Epstein section was dope. The last 3rd was a bit up and down. Sub / Cel liked the insider trading line. The fact that 5 teams had byes kinda hurt the concept tho. Draft section was flat to me. Infact up to the dentist punch was a bit meh for me. sun ray bars was cracky. Scott Storch was ok. Rapunzel was dope. Overall this was hard cuz both had almost even amounts of good to bads. Vote goes to my fave bar of the battles. Fairs in. 1/

EtH and Lock cane with a different style. I expected more from yall tbf though. Yea I expected the personals but the first half of the verse was no where even close to what was presented in the last half. Yall should have blended as a team better imo. All around a nice drop.

Sub and Cel, y'alls wording was a bit stretched in places but overall yall came together as a team and were not only able to pull off some fresh personals but also connected more punches than your opponents, which ultimately gets my vote.

Good battle guys . Got my winner.

This is a really tough battle to judge. Because, and I may be wrong, it struck me as one of each of the teams did the brunt of the writing here. Some of the personals on both side had some humor. But, I'm not sure that one's are as all encompassing. As, they're geared toward people who would only really know who were here at the time. In regard to the other team, some of their concepts fell a little flat to me, and there was a lot of space at times between punches. This battle's mad close. But, I've got my winners based on a more consistent verse throughout its entirety.

EtH? The DUDE HASSLED YA FAM posted pics of your kid, her TOOTH SNAGGLED N CRACKED but what did Cel DO AFTER THE FACT? Hit me up like "Dope verse dude, GOOD BATTLE MY MAN"!

I thought this was funny as fuck. Alone it isn't enough to earn major points but its sort of a sub punch used to lead into the next one here below.

Ya baby girls choppers are so FUCKED N SCATTERED G that her dentist's a member of the SONS OF ANARCHY! N ya dumbass is the reason her teeth are SUCH A TRAGEDY coz she could have jaw cancer n youd be like "its JUST A CAVITY"!

Back to back relatively solid hits here, that all build to eachother from the beggining.

When it came 2 droppin in rd 1 this FUCKIN BITCH WAS MISSIN we call Cel Conor McGregor the way he STRUGGLES W/ SUBMISSIONS!

Simple but good, haven't seen it yet surprisingly.

Im HAVIN 2 LAUGH cause 1st Sub ASKED ME 2 TAG like "Me and EtHs THE BEST TEAM" but then he went to Cel and got left hangin...no JEFFREY EPSTEIN!

Feels like a little bit of filler at the start there but the punch was fire albeit a bit obvious.

I think its more meant for Cel, I think its FITTIN DUDE SHOULD DIE by "fuckin with-the-kid cause this-is-him coMMITTIN SUICIDE!"

Eh.

Bring up his title and cause OFFENCE WITH THE BLOW coz Subreal man youre so SENSITIVE BRO that if I say Ill make you pay for this battle youd think Im MENTIONIN ROW!

Pretty solid.

Cel tried 2 write-for-Ex instead of fight-with-EtH as if the inside SCOOP THIS FAGGOT HAD'S RAW but youd only "get those steps in line to sink 'em" tryna USE A MASSIVE FLASH MOB! Ex knocked ya out cold, watchin ya TOOTH GET CRACKED'S A FACT, DOG funny how "Sand-blastin ya face" only PROVED YOU HAVE A..."GLASS JAW"

This was fire with a solid build.

Overall, from EtH's team i'm seein a lot of clean rhyming and wording, with strong relevant builds capped off by a variety of decent-to-fire punches. Comedy and personals were sprinkled in nicely here and team chemistry appeared high to me.

Ya'll should kno they only made it this far because RULE had these DICK RIDERS PRAYING for an 'an early jump on the bye', no INSIDER TRADING!

This was pretty dope.

Illmania 5 was gonna be popping, Eth sorted crews to see who'd PLACE ATOP THE SAMPLES, But Dave be on some troll shit so no one STAYED TA DROP THESE BATTLES,Which became one of the "biggest draft busts" since the DAYS OF JOHNNY MANZIEL!

Good concept, but the multi really irks me. The way Manziel is said really clashes with BATTLES and SAMPLES.

Eth faked being Piru (fact) Said his pump would cause the LOBBY TO VACATE, But this 'Fake Blood with a Shotty ' was something like teKASHI AND TREY WAY!

This is like, eh. There isn't really a metaphor here. Fake blood with a shotty means the same thing in both cases.

Reiper's battle with Rai? Every SENTENCE IN THIS BOUTS SUSPECT, they gave each other more "Oral Complements" than DENTISTS GIVING OUT BRUSHES!

How is a tooth brush an oral complement? Just a bit of a reach on the wording here for sure (and yes, I know the difference between compliment and complement)

Yea, we saw him 'put an end to his streak' without havin security SPRAWLIN ON THEIR FEET, so how you gonna come at me 'Son, Rai burnt u and left u red faced' without WALKIN OFF THE BEACH!

This is alright, solid.

13 yrs no titles for this lad down in Glasgow, this'll prolly be his LAST HONEST SHOT FORMED, But when this bitch chokes "its like trying to get that producer to quit coke" I think it's time to PASS ON THIS SCOT'S TORCH(Scott Storch).

Prolly this teams best line. Personal with a good WP

Cuz ya'll know EtH earning a title was a fairy tale, he wanted some GLORY FOR HIS TROUBLES, truth is he can only make the climb to the top if 'Locks down' like the STORY OF RAPUNZEL!

Pretty decent.

----

Overall, it seemed like both had some pretty average lines and a couple fire lines, but I definitely was feeling the wording, rhyming, and general structure of the EtH verse more so I think they won. 8-8, EtH.

Eth and Lock:

Straight forward punches in your opener, nothing to amazing, but effective due to it being personal. In the middle of your verse is where it started to hit. That Jeffrey Epstein bar and the following 2 bars was fire!! Some creative work fellas.

Ex knocked ya out cold, watchin ya TOOTH GET CRACKED'S A FACT, DOG funny how "Sand-blastin ya face" only PROVED YOU HAVE A..."GLASS JAW"

I wasnt diggin this bar though....some weird wording and the sand blasting concept could have been worked on.

Sub and Cel:

First pun was ok but then the following bar seemed to drag on for me. There was alot of filler in the beginning, not a good idea for a tourney battle. It's better to consistently punch imo. Next is The trey ways bar, which is kinda played but given that you used it differently to create a punch about ETHs past. It hit...decent line. Next 2 lines were nice. Short and straight forward punches with nice set ups. Good shit. Now as for the rest of the verse from here just seem to fall off flat. Almost like you were rushing it....like the rest of your material was alot better then those ending bars, which is disappointing because it was starting to have an impact.

Conclusion: Both had some decent lines but ETH n Rieper were more consistent. Fairs in

Both were fairly even. Starting with Locketh, yall had some funny moments and pretty good chemistry. Like i can legit tell who whrote what lol and im ASSUMING lock wrote the JEFFREY EPSTEIN bar being that he's an american. Not sure why eth didnt go "oh an american reference that might need an expo? c'mon lock.. we're not using that" Because i definitely had no idea who tf JEFFREY EPSTEIN was lol. I enjoyed the first half of the verse which is why i didnt touch on it. Second half, The sandblasting bar and the row bar stood out so that's that. Not sure how i feel about the massive flash mob bar.. it was kindve hit/miss for me. Could've done better here

Subcel, You guys meshed to where i really couldn't point out who was who which is NOT a bad thing. Actually good because you dont know who's writing what and it leaves a crazy suspense. One issue i had with you guys verse is the AMOUNT of expos needed. Like Scott Storch.. I never knew he was broke or lost his fortune? Haha to be honest i forgot the dude exist. I thought he was dead. No idea who JOHNNY MANZIEL is and you actually elft that out of your expo. The tekashi bar tbh is played. Even Grizz/Rican made a tekashi bar in our battle. Other than that, i liked the Rapunzel bar. I've heard the concept quite a few times but this is probably the best one ive seen. oh and Suspect/Brushes to me dont rhyme that bar would've been nice if the wording wasnt slayed... few other lines i liked, solid team work from you guys

Anyways.. (gonna conceal my vote because you assholes always do this to me)

One team was more entertaining and had better material.

EtH/Rieper - Overall, solid verse. Only 2 parts I disliked was the continuation after the epstein punch, the idea was nice but there was something not right with the wording for me. It wasn't smooth for me and it lost it's effectiveness because of that and I disliked the flash mob concept. The plus's for me were the whole dental sequence, for whatever reason I really enjoyed the "just a cavity" line continued after the sons bar. Very last line of the verse was nice as well.

Sub/Cel - Another solid verse. Opener was a bit slow for me for sure though. I wasn't feeling from the start to the manziel. And it wasn't the I thought the crew draft/draft bust personal was whack either, I just thought the concept could have been much stronger. I read the bar several times now and the punch just wasn't hitting for me. Sunray/beach wordplay was mehh for me. Other than that the rest of the verse I thought was real nice. I liked the scot's torch line quite a bit. And I thought you guys closed it off well.

Overall - this was definitely a close decision for me. Went back and read it over again and have my winner picked. Great battle, goodluck to whoever ends up winning it. I enjoyed both.

Both of these emcees decided to use the element of personal information within this battle. Both of these guys used what information they had in such a way to make hard-hitting punchlines out of each one towards each other. I felt that EtH, however, was more consistent under this category. He had some pretty solid multi-syllable incorporation as well. Especially with his closer which made the punchline itself more hard-hitting. As for the punchlines themselves this opponent was also very solid at setting them up with some cunning metaphorical usage that ultimately led them to be very hard-hitting, IMO, towards his opponenent. Also, I felt his usage of trending topics & the way he conceptualized them helped him stay relevant in this battle & he did it in such a way to inflict some more serious damage at his Subreal. If anything his verse could've been structured slightly better by how everying's been punctuated & capitalized but this made little to not difference for me in this case. He definitely kept his best content for the beginning & end of his verse.

Subreal, as I've previously stated, came in with some solid, nasty & personal bars towards his opponent. IMO his opener wasn't as thought out as EtH's. The responder's closer, even though it was really clever, just wasn't as good as his opponent's closer either. However, unlike his opponent, the responder kept up the consistency with really good bars that were backed up with great multi-syllable incorporation that were p much at par with EtH's opener & closer. Subreal also had a great way of setting up his punchlines to make them hit his opponent heavily.

This was extremely hard for me to decide, but I have one edging this by just an iota for having better punchlines that outclassed what the other had to offer here. But I can truly see this going either way.
