Aggo took 15 sec for an intro to explain what was already known and then ended it 15-20 sec short of the 2 min... tsk tsk - In a tournament battle that's a faux pas to me. As far as the bars go - there was a multitude of decent lines but nothing that really stood out... maybe the "speaking in tongues" bit, but for the most part it was underwhelming. When 25% of your drop isn't battle related material on a 2 min aca - it's gonna hurt your chances.

D3FIANCE came out the gates swinging like I expected - liked the aggression. The content was direct and to the point, but also had a more personal feel to it . Overall I thought it was a solid drop. If I had to critique it - finding pausing moments throughout the battle (just enough time to let shit sink in) would go a long way. Maybe that's why you commented that it was rushed - it sounded that way.

GB - Props to both

This was a hard pick.  Aggo had some dope lines, felt like he could have delivered with more intent though.  Defiance had more bars in general and the hits were harder.  GB fv

I can tell one rushed his verse here which gave the winner the upper hand he shouldn't of received. Loser had some ups and downs he had a couple nice punchlines. Winner kept it consistent thru out and had some dope flow/ delivery going on. Fairs all around and salute to the advancer

This one’s hella hard for me to vote on, and I’ll tell you guys why. Awcho had the much better highlights for me and was a bit more composed on the mic. But, Def had a strong flow going with raw aggression. I’d be leaning a bit towards Awcho, BUT....the thing hanging me up the most is that Def ended about 10 seconds early, while Awcho wasted around 35 seconds in this battle between the 12 seconds at the start and more than 20 seconds at the end. I’ve gotta think on this one.

Bro, both shit was dope as fuck. Seriously, man well done to both.

Loser's verse was pretty good, but it felt a little like it was lacking structure and occasionally drifted off track.

Winner's verse was slower paced but had more thought out, harder hitting punches. Shit was good, especially the transmittion line. Lmao the "Bitch" was priceless.

Here's my beef with this battle, I think Aggo had the better bars, but wasted alot of time. Where as D3FIANCE had good delivery, but could of came a bit better pen-wise. Still deliberating this...

Concepts:

Aggo, you didn't bring your best, but you were a lot more consistent. Setups to your punches were better. Defiance, you had some highs and lows. Highs being the ones I felt you delivered nicely and lows being the ones where I felt you were too complex and reached.

Execution:

Both had a good flow, tho I felt Defiance had a more aggressive delivery. But like you said, you kinda rushed it at points. Aggo I liked how you structured each bar, especially where you kept the setups relevant. I also think Aggo had a smoother verse with harded punches, mainly due to the fact you had short bars and a quick-to-the-punch style which I liked a lot. Defiance, there were some haymakers in you verse but you were inconsistent, not all your punches landed with impact, some could've been worded better. There are many ways to execute a bar on a specific idea, just gotta find the ones that'll bring more sting to your punches, and you gotta do that consistently.

Punches:

I saw this battle as: Aggo's verse which started off okay (cos you had all that 'auido/winter shit' lol) but got better as it progressed against Defiance's verse which had a mixture of punches, even thought I think you started off better than Aggo did. I liked Aggo's closer (not the biaaaaatch bit lmao) and the 'double dutch' line. I liked Defiance's opener and closer. Overall, Aggo gets this one with the more consistent verse, he had a good delivery throughout and brought some dope punches. Defiance had some nice punches but you weren't as consistent as Aggo, some of your ideas could've been reworded and also your execution wasn't as clean as Aggo's. 10's for the tourney.

Fuck, alright. I gotta go with Aggo. So between the 2, he wasted 20 seconds more than defiance. But, I felt Aggo’s content was still that much better to make up for it. It’s kind of like, in a 3 round battle rap if one guy clearly wins 2 rounds and then cuts his 3rd short, he still pretty much wins. So I kind of went with that angle here.

As far as why I thought Aggos content was that much better? It was just clearer and cleaner to understand and had more structure to it. He had more highlights and quotables, and the better mic presence. Def was good, I just felt his verse felt too rushed and had a lot of filler. Nothing I could really pick out as like a fire line. It was rapped well, but seemed to lack direction in terms of battle oriented punches. So that’s why I’m edging this to that boy Aggo.

Alright man, after much deliberation. I've come to a conclusion.

Aggo wasted 30 seconds, D3FIANCE wasted 10 seconds at the end of his verse. I normally wouldn't care, but in the case of both wasting time, I am gonna consider Aggo only wasting "20 seconds". Now, I think bar wise he out shined his opponent, and I just feel weird giving the weaker material the W. So I am leaning towards Aggo here, I would of given it to D3FIANCE if he had a couple more stand out lines. Tough one yall, I hope my vote seems reasonable, cause I was struggling on how to go about this. Decent battle, though. Fairs in.
