Like I said, my post wasn't directed towards everyone on this site and I'm not trying to shatter anyone dreams HJA but lets be real. Most of the game is garbage, and it's because of the simple fact that artists are starting to sell themselves out to make more money by getting more simple ass spins. My thing is this, artists on these websites need stop trying to follow this ridiculous formula and make up one of their own which would be a way more profitable revenue stream due to the fact that nobody else can do you like you. Imagine if every artist on this page actually made songs that were true to who they were as artists instead of doing what they think everyone will like just because they liked the last version that someone else did feel me? That's why record sales have dropped so low. You can blame it on piracy all you want I blame it on intellectual garbage. People don't buy albums anymore for the simple fact that if you've heard one then you've heard em all and who wants to keep buying the same album over and over again not me and definitely not you. If you look at the game today the artists that are doing the best and selling the most are those who have their own unique style. J.Cole, Wale, Drake, Kendrick (My favorite right now), Wayne(I don't really like wayne though) etc.
Their are a few garbage artists out there who are doing great as well, but for an entirely different reason. Lets take a horrible sounding 2 Chainz for instance. 2 Chainz, next to Trinidad James in my opinion are the 2 worst lyricist out right now, but the man is smart and he knows the business. (Unlike 90% of the artists on this site) This man has created a character that he plays in order to get money and people fell for it. If you don't believe me listen to a 2 chainz interview and listen at how this man speaks, you can tell. Now this is a character that he'll have to try to portray for the rest of his life or until he decides that he doesn't want to do music anymore. But hey, he'll have got his money right? Leaving behind a group of even worst clones to help mess the game up even more. Like I said, I don't want to shatter any dreams. I simply want to help to make this thing better. When I say "Step ya game up" I mean open up a book and stop trying to be what you see on tv. On another note Key Hart your signature is really messing with me right now. Pinky SMH....... I doubt everyone on here is trying to make it in the music biz. Not saying i wouldnt wanna be a famous million dollar rapper but i understand reality. i Do this shit for fun. it excercises the mind & i got a passion for rap since i was like 9 years old & i crack'd open that Slim Shady Album haha
Most of tha dudes i converse with on here only rap on here as a hobby, they all a whole nother life filled wit unrelated goals. i know a few heads who do shows have mixtapes make videos and have their own website.. tthey put alotta work in for very lil reward..But I Do Agree alotta of y'all need a reality check..LB voters have a boxed in structure of voting, y'all can be some nazis with all this strict order/structure haha..there's my two cents
