ANNOUCEMENT - The Closure Of The LBT & LBA Championships

[RULE]

So this might not come as a surprise to most but we will be closing the LBT & LBA championships as of today.


It saddens me a lot personally as the creator of both to see them close but its probably been clear to all for a while now that they havent been managed very well, over half the title changes came via no show etc etc

The THC gives us a clear replacement for the LBT and i "might" consider running an Audio Heavyweight Championship too in the future if the demand is there.


As for the final champions @BizzyOne & @Shodan - You both will recieve an automatic place in the January Grand Championship, and (if you want it) a Heavyweight Championship title match in January (ONLY valid for January) if you want. Your championship usertitles will stay with you until the end of December.

I want to thank the people who took over the LBT & LBA when i left a few years ago, and to everyone who entered giving the titles such a rich history.


We will learn from the mistakes of the LBT & LBA and make sure they dont happen in the newer incarnations.

Are people on the LBT/LBA cards gonna get auto placement on to the next THC/AHC cards if they want it as well?

The THC always welcomes anyone wanting to battle.

The ranking system is very different so i wont being "honouring" number one contenderships or anything like that, but when the sign ups go live people with history of participating in the LBT will have that considered.

I feel both current champs should hold their titles or a name change to them being that they didn’t get a chance to defend them or hold them for long

I did consider this but felt it would be unfair to all the champs before them who didnt get to keep it either.

They'll get the titles till the end of the month plus automatic entry to the GC and a january THC / AHC shot if they want it.

I think thats more than fair.

I feel like Both title holders should keep their respected titles. I also feel like everyone who battled their way up the card who currently sit, awaiting a title shot are getting screwed. I also feel like certain decisions are being made like a dictatorship that pertain to the site.

Yeah have it be like "Final LBT Champion" and "Final LBA Champion" as a usertitle

Like i sad we did strongly consider this but i dont see how we can merit some getting a GC level title permanently just cuz they happened to be the champ when it closed when so many great champions held those titles over the years.
