I understand, I do, but, my mother and step-father both smoke weed, my mother has been since she was 13, she is 39 now, my step father has been since he was 20, he is also 39...

The long term effects come depending on how much / how you smoke it...if you take 50 bong rips a day, then yeah, it will have major effects on your lungs, attitude, etc. But if you smoke only a couple bowls a day, you can think properly. Trust me, once I slowed down on my weed consumption, I was able to get my life on track. You are right though, people change from it..sometimes for the better though too..

@Just C alcohol could have still been illegal!! remember prohibition??? so that point is still irrelevant... and weed in moderation does nothing AT ALL... even heavy usage does minimal damage to anything... read up on the so called "mental renderings" marijuana causes and post it... from a reliable source...

But alcohol does nothing in moderation. 1 blunt for 1 beer. weed > alcohol for negative effects. Your more likely to be sick or get into an accident.

2. hemp companies should and would be a super industry able of quadrupling that of the alcohol/tobacco industries but the tobacco/alcohol industries are already established and hold all the cards. Hemp would be used for fucking everything
