ROUND 1 BATTLES(AUG24TH)
ROUND 2 BATTLES(AUG26TH)
ROUND 3 BATTLES(AUG28TH)
This will be a 3-round contest where candidates will be paired and each pair is given the same link to an actual current battle to vote on, and you will then be judged on who dropped the better overall vote/expo/rating. In each round, you will be paired with a different opponent that is chosen by an online randomizer. There will be 3 FVC judges assigned to assess each pair's votes, and you will receive 1 point for every judge vote you get. A no-show will earn you 0 points. After the 3 rounds, the top 2 text voters who have accumulated the most points will be the ones inducted into the Fair Voter's Club. The maximum points a voter may amass is 9. For any voter who amasses 7 or more points, you will be awarded an emcee item.
A random text battle will be assigned to each pair by me. The battles will have at least 48 hours before they close to give you the maximum amount of time to get your votes in. You will know the battles you must vote on the same day that the round opens, and I will also PM everyone to let them know when the rounds open. The rounds will open on these specific days:
ROUND 1: Aug 24th
ROUND 2: Aug 26th
ROUND 3: Aug 28th
For each voter, consider your round closed when the battle you are assigned has closed. The judges will cast their votes on who won between each pair after both have voted and the assigned battle has closed. The points will be tallied later and updated once the judges have spoken.
Either left or right may vote first, however, both contestants must vote before the battle closes, otherwise you will earn 0 points. You will be assigned battles that open on the same day as the round to give you the maximum time to vote (up to 3 days).
Battles close after all 3 judges have dropped their analyses, and they will do so in this thread after both people in the pair have voted and the assigned battle has closed. Judges are encouraged to give an explanation behind their decisions, but if they don't, you may ask them privately. If one judge no-shows, I may step in as a replacement judge or find another mod or FVC member to judge the votes, especially in cases where a voter and a judge are in the same crew.[PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:] You may use more than one comment to drop your vote, but if you do, they must be successive (one right after the other) and I will use the timestamp to validate "successiveness". You shouldn't drop a comment then come back hours later after your opponent or someone else has dropped their feedback to come include something you priorly forgot in your expo. That will get you disqualified. Also, DO NOT refer to your opponent or anything your opponent has said in his expo in your own. If you cannot vote on your assigned battle for whatever reason, (the person has you blocked or is a member of the same crew as your multi account, etc) let me know ASAP and I will try to assign you another battle. I feel Both Voted Correctly But One Also Through Some Advice In the Mix Of His Judgement
Which Can Will Be A More Effective Vote Because It Can Help Textcee's Elevate As They Go On Through More Battles , Felt Like Both Included Honesty and Didnt Sway . I know Battles Like This Is Harder To Get In Depth Due To The Lack Of Intense Complexity Or Get Out Of You Set Type Of Lines But If I Had To Vote For Who Had A Better Vote I'd Say JOSH .... All love

okay first off, as far as rates go, i felt griz gave too high a rating for sick, because alot of his endrhymes didnt even rhyme consistently, ida given him a 4 at most because he came closer to an actual battle verse... joshes votes were imo, more accurate, prince barely rhymed as well, and his verse wasnt even a battle verse either. i would ve gave em a zero.. as far as expo goes, i felt grizz's explanation, pretty much scratched the surface as far as what they did wrong in their verses, yeah he brought up the fact that prince's verse read more like a cypher, but didnt also point out basic stuff that was wrong wit his verse, how he couldve constructed his verse better, etc.. even pointing out that sick probably wrote wit an accent that fuckd his flow up... you couldve gave one example of his bar that required better wording, and provide an insight on what he couldve done to make it a better bar.. then he said punches win battles, which is true, but taking both battler's writing abilities, one must assume they have no clue what constitutes a good punch, or a text book punch for that matter, which again you couldve provided at least one example of one of each person's lines and how they couldve turned it into a concept into a relation, into a simile, pun, flip, etc.... so imho, grizz's vote was subpar, considering this is an FVC entrance competition.. josh's, on the other hand was actually decent, he didnt give an example of the person's bar, but did give advice on how the person could improve, in regards to his multis, also, by adding the person's name - then addressing their corresponding problem and remedy makes it cleaner and concise, i also like the fact he gave them sources on where to turn for material in order to get an idea of what to look for in a good battle verse... and his closing was a good confidence builder, didnt come off as arrogant, but friendly, and peeps are more inclined to take advice from someone who can understand what stage the person is in skillwise and meetem halfway., as opposed to someone criticisin them like theyre sopposed to know what to do.. with that, i give my vote to JOSH...

okay both came wit the correct winner imo, so thats a plus, but thats where the similarities end, as far as rating goes, i felt oskar's was slightly higher than what i wouldve given them so strong was closer .. expo wise, oskar pretty much did a really small summary which to me is subpar if he's considering to be representing FVC quality.. he skimmed the strength of one, and the fault of another , wit no real advice on how to correct the problem, and fvc voter should give at least one example of one of the battlers lines, what was wrong wit it, and how to correct it, this type of minimalist voting, only makes the loser think, okay..... what do you mean i didnt say much? or my stuff was forced... how is it forced? what constitutes something being 'forced'.... if your gonna advise them of someting, give an example and how to reword it, then go the extra mile and point them in the right direction...
