IDEAS TO IMPROVE LETSBEEF.. contribute plz

Okay, first off, im not trashing this site, im trying to help it cause i remember when this site was in its glory days, i left a few years and come back to what can only be compared to Half of what it used to be..
Audio wise at least, cause I dont mess with the text side, this site has fallen off badly, and its because from what im seeing is people arent participating, not really dissing the caliber of emcees, tho from what im seeing that has also fallen off badly.. but the top track this week, being SUNDAY which is when it resets unless that has changed, was 27 plays, i remember a track could get that in ONE DAY, HOTTEST BATTLE on the hot list has 12 votes, again.. that could happen in a few hours of being dropped back in the day.. alot of people may have left the site, but everyone keeps telling me, NEW people are here now, WHERE ARE THEY? what are they doing?

LB needs battles, its a beef site.. no one will battle if people dont vote.. TRACK SECTION, who is going to cont to post tracks and get 10 plays? NOT ME..

so.. we need the people that ARE here to participate, so something i thought of to MAYBE help this is a seperate ranking system based on activity

if u rate battles, now u get credits to drop more battles, if people dont plan on dropping battles they dont rate battles to get those credits, why would they? The way this ranking system COULD work would be if u rate battles, u get ur credit like now, but u also have a 1 - 1000% for instance, if u rate a battle that goes up a % if u rate a track that goes up a % if u drop battles it goes up a %

Which means, that gives people a REASON to participate on letsbeef.. to improve the ranking.. but what could the ranking mean? only a number?

WHAT IF?? you go over a certain % 500 for instance you get a free month of exclusive.... if u drop below 500% unless ur paying for exclusive, u lose it... how about removing the credits system all together.. u have to stay over 500% to DROP battles, u can still rate battles to improve ur rating, so now u have a reason to actually participate..

this idea could be tweaked, but I think its a good start.. I fucking hate the fact that LB is getting pretty close to being only a social media site

every one has to rate 10 tracks a week with big expos
everyone has to rate 5 chypers a week
everyone crew has to have 5 battles a week
everyone has to sign up for 3 contests a month
everyone has to support wack mc's that come on here new
everyone has to leave 10 messages on peoples pages every week
everyone has to make 5 threads a week
everyone has to pick someone an beef with them at random they will be called ur (beef partner)
Fail to beef with ur beef pranter gives u the title AFRAID 2 BEEF.

Any one who fails to do these things will be perm banned @All Mods to confirm.

I'll come back to this but for now, people need to lose the mentality the loosing is bad. Also, resetting the credits every month would really make people vote. Might turn out bad though, because everyone's scrambling to get votes so they vote even shitter then they currently are.

Also, I think we should develop a code like putting QB in the comments to indicate that it's a quick battle, so you're trying out a new style, wrote it quickly, etc. That was people don't critique the shit out of those battles.

I know a couple things that could use some tweaking. Not really too important type of shit...but 1 being.. When you first come on LB you should be able to see your "notifications" on the main/home page... but you can't. Instead you have to click on a category tab, I.E. "Forums"....then your notifications finally pop up.

Another thing, I really liked the old battle player....what's up with this new shit?...imo, the old one "fit" and just looked better with this new red/black look of LB.

Last thing that I don't get is all the mod power changing hands. Can we keep the same mods for longer than 30 days? FFS.

Edit: Ok, this is the last thing.... What the fuck is the point of having "Exclusive" that some people pay $5 a month to have... yet we have a "limit" of 20 tracks that can be uploaded to our profiles? I've dropped a shit ton of tracks in my time here.. Every time I make a new track I have to delete an older one just to upload a new one. Maybe increase the max # of tracks a person can upload to their pro.

I agree on the track part, i even mentioned that to pugz in the chat, he said it was because of server space, but we really need to figure out another option, cause people dont want to remove tracks just to post new ones, specially people that been here along time and have tracks that are LB classics, or have alot of plays, its great going back to old tracks and reading the comments, the wars that went on, and that sort of thing.. but we really should be able to post more tracks

All we need is niggas to stop being lazy.. I'm talking about the battlers. Like nowadays we won't battle unless it's for a LB card or tournament. I seen someone cancel a battle he was doing because he already had "A" battle this month. A battle a month? The fuck man.

Everyone on the site use to battle for the sake of having nice looking records and shit. I'd rather have that than people just showing up to Events/Tourneys.. Half the time, niggas no-show those aswell.. We can sit in the forums all day long not doing shit when we can be writing verses.

exactly, that is what im talking about, we need to find out a way to motivate people to get involved.. my idea of having a ranking system everytime u do something to participate, vote on a battle, drop a battle, rate a track, drop a track u get higher ranking, the higher ranking could get u exclusive, find out a way to make it where u can upload more tracks, and if u have a certain ranking for that month (participating %) then u can upload more tracks

there really needs to be something to make people motivated to do more on this site.. not emcee items, if more people had a reason to vote on battles, and drop battles, post tracks, rate tracks, hen that would make the site better.. and bring more people to the site, at least make the new people that come here and check it to stay.. cause they will see its fucking poppin off around here
