Track Uploading Governance Suggestion
@ Just C and @ Pugz @ Mindless @ Miqueas
Is there a way that we can put governance on the time limit between track uploads? With Exclusive you are allowed to upload unlimited tracks to your homepage, but this also pushes other tracks down during mass uploads. Possibly, a "1 track per 30 minute" rule could be put into place with the site's logic?
I'm not sure how many man hours would go into it, but this might alleviate some borderline spamming situations. No paying customer is uploading 'spam' looking at the infostructure of the site, but by principal it is spamming because you're clouding the common area.
Just my thoughts. Including The mods on this that have experienced this situation recently. I'm not the most audio savvy mod but I'm inquiring GENERALLY @ Just C @ FUEL @ Ticket @ Itz Killz
Thanks,
RhetoriK

This is actually a good idea. Cap the amount of tracks any one member can upload due to a time limit.
Would solve any problem/issue in the future, as it is there is no Rule for uploading as many tracks as you want, there for should be no punishment.
This limitation is a good idea. and will insure all tracks uploaded have time to be viewed equally.

2 tracks per 24 or 36 hours is the way to go.

2 tracks a day? thats a bit harsh... maybe one track every 2 hours, these are paying customers after all Just C... i mean, if they end up only being able to post 2 tracks a day they prolly end up not bothering in the end/later down the road.

Well one thing that can be agreed on is that this NEEDS to happen. I'm leaning toward fewer tracks a day because it also saves the artist uploading for screwing themself too.
Scenario:
I'm an artist uploading 15 tracks over the course of an hour. Listening culture on here is probably 1-2 tracks then they're moving on. By spacing the drops you're catching a new audience as well.
We could play the happy medium game with the time limits, but I'm thinking One track every 45 minutes to an hour based on file size. Larger uploads require more time in between and smaller tracks can be the bare minimum of 30 minutes between.

You're annoying me.
'But spammers are paying members'
Yes fuel.
And so is every fucker else Fuel.
2 tracks per 24 hours
With Rhet's way somebody can have half the track list covered in 45 minutes.
People don't wanna listen to n feed all your tracks at once. No matter who you are.
Fuel. (bless him) Seems to forget that this benefits spammers too as it stops their material getting slept on.

What? I think you mus-understood me.
Even a small file would only allow 1 upload per half hour.
I mean it would be tough to wallpaper the track section with that in mind.
Small Tracks
Track 1 - 30 minutes pass - Track 2
Larger Tracks
Track 1 - 1 Hour passes - Track 2
Let @ Pugz decide the time limits. I persoanlly think that 45min to and Hour is plently (based on file size) is AGL.
Hopefully something like this is possbile. Seeing that we have time limits on forum posts, profile comments, and PM's it seems realistic.

The unwritten rule has always been no more than 2 tracks per day.
Thats always seemed a fair ratio to me.

Never knew that. So to stay in line with the un-written rules, perhaps we make a written one. Thanks @ RULE.

I'd be down with it.
We definately need to make an offical ruling either way.
