QUICK BAR SURVEY!! (Hella need yalls say on this!)
Im tired of pretending like i legit know how a bar is written.
So im tryna ask, how yall write a bar? Or better yet, how exactly is a bar written?
This question goes out to everyone, but most especially OG khats. Im tryna learn something new here so i'd definitely appreciate some positive feedback.
Is it written Backwards (you come up with a haymaker punchline first, then a somewhat-same-concept preceeding set-up line that rhymes with it and do that till the bar limit's reached)?
Or written forward (just rhyming and coming up with punches that coincidentally work with the rhymes as you go, up till the bar limit)?
Or is there someway else that im fucking lost about? please.help!

I do both the backwards and forwards ideas depending on my mood, the battle type etc. Sometimes I have a particular multi that I really like and so I try to reverse engineer a punch to fit into it, but most of the time I have a concept I want to use and I construct a punch around it.

Certainly depends. In a scheme battle I write 1000 multis, puck the ones i like best and then make bars out of them. Otherwise just through the day to day an idea strikes or a wordplay, some type of concept and I build a bar around that. There is no universal formula. Do what works for you.

Depends on what you feel works best for you,.. to conform isn't exactly the right way,.. Your style is your style, i prefer to work backwards after i have the punch,.. and rhyme the sentence with the sentence.. most def rhyme my multies to build up the punch, to Make that Pertinent with what You're making your end punch Out to be.. sometimes.. just rhyming out words works.. too.. don't think... that if you lose here.. you Really lost 100 percent of the time.. Progression is key
