Ok so im sittn here lookn at the rankings and im like wtf? I dont get howthis is calculated at all. So b4 I opened my big mouth I went and looked on the site and read the explanations of how rankings are calculated. This was the answer: How are the Basic Rankings Calculated?
Points earned in the Basic League go towards your monthly and all time Basic Rankings.

So can anyone tell me how they are calculatedbecause 1 thru 10 you got people that are 40-0 , & 7-4 & 2-0 that are all pretty close in pts. so? whats the deal

Number of votes, ratings given by those voting, voting power of those voting. I believe all of these aspects play a role. Though, I'm not entirely sure of this.

I BELIEVE it's an algorithm based on votes, vote rating and MAYBE your opponent's rankings, but not sure about the last bit.

I dont get what you mean "close in points".

You get like 14-17 points per battle usually.

So you can do the maths mate, but how is 650 close to 200?

if your 2-0 or 7-4 you shouldnt even be in the same hemisphere of some one 40-0 is what i mean. Yet they are all in the top 10?

Points wise, they arent in the same hemisphere.

The problem you're noticing isn't to do with points, it's to do with activity. There just isn't as much battling going on these days, and respect to @Bleu's faggot ass for getting lots of battles out.

In November, I'm planning on putting something together where we defeat the text top 10 from June 2007, where the #1 guy had 187 battles completed. My goal will be to do 188.

If as with said above your talking about the monthly rankings ....

It can only rank those who have battles and as you can see there really isn't many hence the gulf in the 40-0 to the 7-4
