a good 80% of those voters don't even fuck with the forums just as pretty much all that voted on yours do.

It's 2 little circle jerks.

The new guys who have been forced by the "I'm too good to vote on that battle, new guy scum" circle jerk to vote on each others battles.

It's a simple lowerclass upperclass divide.
