i had a buddy in the air force from 03-13. dude has been to Iraq twice, Egypt, Afghanistan, South Korea and Israel.
Never tells me much about the time spent there. I hear a couple stories once in a while but its rare. Before he left the air force for a career with another company who holds Government contracting he did tell me he was offered a higher position but left because he was away from his family for two long. he only saw the birth of one out of his three children and he was just tired. he was constantly active and gone for long periods of time and alot of times im sure he was just thankful to be back.

Word. Honestly most of the people in the army are useless
Joining the army screams "I don't have a life plan, so I need people that I can submit to that'll direct what I'll do for X amount of years that this contract lasts"
The experience is dope though & the respect you get is cool..I got a cousin and a friend in the army. but the fact that you're usually fighting behind lies and pretenses is lame & you're usually only joining the army if you have no other plan or feel like school ain't ya thing...Which theres nothing wrong with...but if people worked on their brains more than brawn we wouldn't need to be the biggest spender on military every year

I wouldn't mind joining the army because basically it's man shit. Training every day, shooting guns, tanks and shit. But let's not pretend it's admirable or something to be respected for.

I'm assuming the guerilla warfare in the third world is less annoying than the guerilla warfare over here. Got into serious trouble in my first week in Ireland cause I was 11 playing guns in the fields with a ski mask.
