the word nigger/nigga originated as a term used in a neutral context to refer to black people, as a variation of the Spanish/Portuguese noun negro, a descendant of the Latin adjective niger, meaning the color "black". now it's used as a pejorative for the black people. so why are we even arguing about this when we know it's not a good word to express the color or to use it anyway. black people shouldn't use this either nor should white. thread closed

I'd say "wassup nicca" or something just when I meet up with a friend or something. If he was black, it'd have to be eased in of course.

And whats with people acting like 'its okay for blacks to say it'. Whenever they say 'Thats OUR word', Im always thinking like, no, its fucking not. Its OUR word for you...nigger. Then a fight would ensure, and I'd probably lose because I'd be intimidated from the get go. I'd probably wait till he leaves and mutter to my friend "Pfft, where's he off to? KFC?" and then act like it's a mark in the old win column for the EtHer.
