I endorse everything @Lockhart said about the FVC. Might I add that it doesn't have to be a breeding ground for future moderators, that's just an added bonus.

There were good, and bad iterations of the FVC. So, it's hard to judge under such an umbrella term. It's more about the ways in which it's implemented and run than it is the actual collective itself being inherently good or bad.

Agree with NOBLE. I was one of the members who were apart of the FVC at its fruition... which led to my modship back in the day.

Thing is, there was also much more activity back then... I don't know if bringing it back now would necessarily push anyone to vote more than they already do. It seems like the same people vote on battles consistently, so unless there is a new influx of members that it'd reach with perks or incentives, I can't imagine it'd change too much.

Also, I have noticed that people message me A LOT to vote on battles now. That just exemplifies how dead it is. That shit wasn't allowed back when and could actually result in warnings leading to bans. I'm guessing that's no longer a thing because of site inactivity? Makes sense tbh, but I remember you had to make a forum post if anything.

You can deffo pm and IM for votes now you just can’t ask someone to directly vote for you ...

It’s mad as I was a mod and I got de-moded because I IM’d a FVC person to drop a vote to a battle which I had also posted a link to in there FVC thread how times change tho ayyyyyy

@NOBLE , after your reply, i guess sure, but not in this point of time . imo. or, make it return slowly.
i.e inviting one member a month or something, not a full team all at once. so it generates interest, people pick up slack and start voting
