Yeah that's true his position of authority in that community won't even come into play. If he was illegally carrying a fire arm, in the eyes of the law, No matter how extreme the situation might have been. He point blank shouldn't have been carrying so there's no use in him phoning the police as a way to 'cover his back'. If he was legal then that would be an avenue to look into. But he wasn't so meh.
