@Student @mister jon flako, Cops are gonna search your shit if they want to, plain and simple. All they got to do is lie about probable cause, and what are you gonna do about that? It's your word against theirs in court. Look at it this way, all they gotta do is say "We smelled marijuana in the vehicle," and if they find any, then that is a reasonable thing to say. If they don't find any, then you aint going to court anyway, unless they find something else like a gun. In that case all they gotta do is switch the probable cause up to something like, "We saw the gun on the seat." That aint how the laws are written obviously, but thats how it can happen
