Basically, I'd like to bring some visibility to the ongoing events and put them all into one "Card" for visibility. I'll update as events develop. Tournament Hosts/Sponsors hit me up, and I will include you in the updates.

Text Battlers voted the Top 8 writers from North America and Europe via Polling. A Single Elimination tournament will yield a North American vs a European battle for supremacy. The Overall winner will receive the title Intercontinental Champion title with the accompanying team receiving the Intercontinental Team title.. This event has been solidified and has just begun the first round of competition. Voting links will be posted in the linked thread above.

North American Battle to watch:
@-Mr SPLAT- (D.I.E.) vs @vice Ve®sa (DPS)

Two upstarts will be in a heated rematch stemming from the 2011 Rookie of the Year tournament. Now, they're fighting for sole representation of their continent on a international level. Expect punchlines to land heavy here.

European Battle to Watch:
@FAME (Classick at Rhymin) vs @Mayneak (Elements of Substance)

A veteran matchup between a LetsBeef fixture (in FAME) and live battler vs arguably one of the greatest text/audio battlers to grace the site. Bars over Jokes or Jokes over Bars? We'll see

2012 LetsBeef Grand Prix: Tag-Team Semi-Finals

Summary:
The first bracketed (recorded) Tag-Team Championship. Heavy match-ups each round have lead us to 4 semi-finalists. With all historical finalist teams, splitting up in the beginning phases, and the most recent champs outted by the 2nd round, it's anyone's game at this point. Looks like a great mix of styles, crews, and content to duke it out for the title Tag Team Champion.

Semi-Final Matchups to Watch:
@EJT and @AfterThought vs @Askari and @STEELO

EJT's a seasoned tag team battler, and has made many final and semi final matches in his time on LB, AfterThought was part of the heavy-hitting 2011 Rookie Class and could prove to be a formidable ally to EJT. Askari and STEELO are both veteran battlers with an arsonal of angles. This should be heated.

@GRizzEAT and Prose_ vs @2FUEL and @SWAVY

Definably a match of style vs substance. The punchline heavy team of 2FUEL and SWAVY vs the wordplay/metaphor driven GrizzEAT and Prose_ should pose as a stylistic clash. All four are out for their first title and there will be blood.

Summary:
I call this even the Phoenix. Ups to Grizzy for keeping it afloat as long as he did. A banned host deemed difficult to keep it going. Many no-shows also gave us an unlikely challenger in the finals. The biggest stigma this event has created is will it end as anti-climactic as it began! Support these two in finishing this event off with class
