So have any of you guys ever been in a rap battle or cypher and just straight up killed it. I notice that when I slaughter the words with complex rhymes (with a touch of extreme speed) the bitches start dropping their jaw like their dripping and about to swallow my children. (its always worked with any girl thats been with me and outta nowhere dudes call me out)
The feeling of battling in school and simmilar places is great for building confidence and inspires a creative outlet where one can find value. Thats how Eminem, Brother Ali and some of the greatest rappers started off.
Thats why Im so happy to see a website like lets beef still thriving, giving people the same opportunity to excel within a community.
If anyone has any crazy stories about battles, etc. and people going crazy, please feel free to share!!

I always did lunchroom cyphers and stupid shit like that, got a lot of friends from that shit & it's hilarious how doing something that the majority doesn't do can impress so many people. Obviously, you'd have the ones who dislike your content but all in all I got a lot of positive responses & a fuckton of girls who were like "You can just... rhyme off of stuff? Here try this word!" and it would just elevate from there lmao.

When you have something that can be considered a "talent" by people that not many others in your community can do, people will be naturally attracted to it. My current girlfriend doesn't even know I rap, though.

Sounds idiotic but I'm embarrassed as fuck in the fact that I "rap". Just seems cringeworthy to match with my persona, I suppose if I get to a level in this shit where I'm comfortable with my "skill" then I'll be more open with it lol.

I've done quite a few local ciphers/battles, just fucking around. I've always done well, and people always seem incredibly receptive to me when doing so.

I had a buddy who was in a rock band and got booked at one of the bars in my city that has a basement set up for live music. They were a pretty new band and got booked for a couple hours so they needed to kill some time. He asked me if I would come up and rap for a little bit. I was a lil tipsy so I was like, fuck yeah! The drummer just hit some live beats while I freed for a few minutes on stage in front of like 80-120 people or so. Not a dry pair of panties in the place (right?_)
