BROWN CIGAR

EtH
We're here with our featured artist this month for LetsFake magazine; BROWNCIGAR. Brown, in just 3 words, sell yourself to the Letsbeef.com population.

BROWNCIGAR
hungry to elevate

EtH
In which way?

BROWNCIGAR
lyrically

EtH
I mean, in which way are you hungry.

BROWNCIGAR
daily research on the net on how to write killer rhymes, study different rappers rhyme schemes

EtH
How do you mean?

BROWNCIGAR
how they word and place their rhymes in each verse.

EtH
How do they?

BROWNCIGAR
Ice Cube seems to have that basic AB AB format, with some multiple rhymes, but the way he writes his words out, don't make it so basic

EtH
Can you tell us some more about that?

BROWNCIGAR
in the song Sasquatch, its not a real hard rhyme scheme, they are quick one two lines: Michael Joe Jackson used to call me Thriller
All my enemies swear I'm Attila
they seem like only ending rhymes in a simple format
pretty much not complicated to do

EtH
So what makes BROWNCIGAR a motivated writer?

BROWNCIGAR
this site. I came in as a one rhyme at the end of each line type of emcee. this site, showed me that my game was weak and it needed to improve after a few lop-sided losses

EtH
Like what?

BROWNCIGAR
multi rhymes have been the toughest, how to insert them in a battle verse, while making sense at the same time

EtH
How?

BROWNCIGAR
well, if i wrote the big blue bus, was a giant to bust...that would not make any sense at all, no rhyming at all, just junk words

EtH
Why?

BROWNCIGAR
well, not only would it not flow correctly, the reader would be able to tell that I had no skills, when it comes to rhyming words

EtH
Forreal?

BROWNCIGAR
well, If I saw that kind of rhyme matching on a battle, I would feel good about my chances if I was an experienced battler

EtH
How?

BROWNCIGAR
well, people look for creativity, wordplay, punchlines, multis, they don't wanna see basic one rhyme type of emcees, with no rhyming skills, trying to battle someone who has their game on lock

EtH
Why?

BROWNCIGAR
well, one word rhyming is not impressive, maybe on an audio track, but not in texting, because you can clearly see a difference in writing experience

EtH
Like what?

BROWNCIGAR
well you can have a long as sentence with a one word rhyme, and a few multis within that same sentence if you know how to write them

EtH
For example?

BROWNCIGAR
multi rhyme are my weak point right now, so I can't really think of anything right off hand

EtH
Oh, really?

BROWNCIGAR
yeah, its all new to me, but luckily there are videos on that

EtH
Such as?

BROWNCIGAR
well there is a great LetsBeef member by the name of Dono who has videos up on how to write multi-rhymes on youtube. good stuff

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
I would suggest any new emcee joining this site, to go and check it out if they don't know what multis are, or if they just want to help their game grow

EtH
Really?

BROWNCIGAR
oh yeah, I searched for days on the net, on how to write multis, honestly, I didnt know what they were until I joined this site

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
well, I found Dono's videos and watched them until I got a grasp on what they were.

EtH
Really?

BROWNCIGAR
yup, I thought multis were one word rhymes that landed within each sentence.
straight rookie

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
well I was a 90's kid, so there were lots of one rhyming words in those days, so thats how I learned to write, but these days, its multi-gasms of words that you can rhyme and make your verse sound dope

EtH
Really?

BROWNCIGAR
yup. I see a big difference in my game already, I think harder when I am writing, and not just rhyming the last word like I use to. I tell you, it is a lot easier to drop a 16 bar verse, when you just rhyme the ending words. multis make you think, which helps improve your writing skills as an emcee

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
pretty much, one word rhymes are the thing of the past, multis are the now thing, and if a person isn't adding that element in their game, then they are missing a big piece of their puzzle

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
well, after trying to add multis to my verse, I started to notice that it brings out so much more to the verse than to just rhyme ending words the whole time

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
its a real complex thing to do, and I think I am starting to get the hang of it, a month or so from now, and I think I can be a top ten emcee on a monthly basis

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
the other thing that is on my to-do list is how to cap, some say only cap your multis, and some say do your end rhymes, so before I know it, I'm capping the wrong stuff. lol

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
I have only been on this site a few months, and it has shown me a lot. I'm constantly thinking of ways to improve my writing, how to come up with dope punchlines, etc. too many great emcees on here, for me not to want to elevate.

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
what else would you like to talk about?

EtH
Go on...

BROWNCIGAR
I like the emcee features, and how you can earn items monthly. As an exclusive member, they should automatically give a few new items for the emcee, once you become an exclusive member. that would want people to try out the exclusive feature and give them an incentive for becoming a paid member

EtH
You know who won Illmania 2?

BROWNCIGAR
NO I don't

EtH
Goon Squad.
