*Usually* 1 Bar = 2 Lines. From a general musical standpoint, it refers to a metrically complete measure. Hip-hop has kind of adopted it as a term to describe the "end" of a rhyme. A.k.a the "setup" and the "punchline." But since punchlines don't always follow such a simple formula, it has naturally fallen into the description of a 2 line rhyme scheme. In other words, 2 Rhyming Lines = 1 Bar.

P.S. And since people seem to be confused as to the proper length the verse should be, can we get a public verification for those who aren't clear? 16-18 Lines, or 16-18 bars (32-36 lines)?
