I read the lyrics, I like Jay but nothing really profound.

He's cool.

Surprised with all your talk of being a great Numerologist, you didn't pick up on 444. Being the unluckiest number in Chinese Numerology. 444 = Death Death Death.

But to who,
Dun dun duh

Jay Z has hinted at being a part of certain ideologies.. ones that would know 444 was unlucky. Just the fact he's well traveled he'd know.

So no conspiracies cuz you like this album huh?

From what I read, back when the controversy first started, Beyoncé didn't even write that song nor line. And the actual writer was interviewed about it and said something like "I just wrote it. Wasn't about anyone in particular, can't believe it's become an issue".

There was also a lot of speculation that Jay and B used this to their advantage and ran with it to sell albums. So if that's true, is this apology real or just a continuation of the same story.
