I used to form mild steel. Anything from 24g to 1/2". It would come in as 4x8 or 5x10 sheets. We'd cut out the blanks for parts on a carbon laser or a pneumatic punch then form them with hydraulic press brakes. We also did a lot with wire from diameters of .0875" to 3/8".
