I like Fiji on an "online personal" level (whatever the fuck that means), but Illy & Talk have always shown more promise on the live scene IMO. I see Talk getting love & recognition on RMBVA often.

Just as an aside, folks like Conceited and Charron will never claim LB, so I wish we'd stop clinging onto the few battles they dropped here. Stricc, from what I hear, has been doing great in the live scene - didn't Mani rock his debut too, in front of Lush & Myers?

If we must throw our support behind live battlers, no matter how loosely, we need to be more prudent about it. We have the battlers capable (I swear to this day UA is Respek BA) and it's a great look - we just need to find that flagship artist to take it off. That partly comes down to business acumen as well, of course. Maybe it's time to discuss some kind of tourney, whereby the winner (must wish to become a live battler) gets the site's backing, rather than scatter-bombing anyone who will give LB an intro credit to 200 people on "Backyard Battles".
