You've got me there. I have a very specific idea of how bars should (in most cases) be written, and if someone deviates from that style in a battle, I feel that I have no choice but to rip into that if I vote on that battle.
But on the other hand... if you vote on something, you have to have some sort of quality standards. I can't just say that everything which is kind of clever or aggressive is acceptable. If that leads other people to see me as a rigid little ice-bitch who tries to force everything into the same box, then so be it.
