I needed to adjust the definition of the battle cap:

The 3 battle cap is a minimum, not a cut-off. Anyone under the three battle minimum will recieve a 'restricted' ranking. This means that no matter what your record its, it will rank UNDER the lowest capped battler. A 1-3 battler could qualify over a 2-0 battler in this instance. Don't let it happen! Anyone who battles over the limit is battling at their own risk. Next season, the cap will be raised to a 5 battle minimum because we will have more time between the season start and the actual playoffs and GC Tournament.
