Starting a battle costs no credits, only joining does

Cool but what's to stop a SPAMMER or Rant on his off days from flooding the arena with a buncha "FUCK LB" battles? They should at least cost 1 credit.

Starting an open battle earns you a bonus if you win (+10 credits, +10 points)

Cool idea, this will encourage "snipers" from simply battling new opponents and starting their own battles.

Have credit prizes for certain battles

This would be great! If you could set-up credit prizes we could integrate them with the LBA/LBT/Any other PPVs going on in the regular arena.

Reset the all-time rankings and start from scratch

@Mindless has an ELO system in place for this, essentially the more titles you have combined with your current rankings the higher your rank will be. This would put people like UNKNOWN ARTIST, Jason, RULE, etc. somewhere in the top 10 of all time. I'll look for it in a bit.
