Post The History Of: The Letsbeef Awards

The History Of: The Letsbeef Awards

The custom of having an end-of-year review and award ceremony is commonplace in almost all forms of competitive and creative pastimes, and Letsbeef.com is no different. In the early years of Letsbeef (2005 to 2008) these awards were never granted in an official fashion, and therefore finding definitive winners during this time period is extremely difficult. So the official tally's will begin from 2009, when a small but efficient awards ceremony was conducted. Official awards have been decided every year since then with the exception of 2016.

The Format & Execution

The awards are decided via a public forum poll, which is tallied up to reveal the winner of the particular categories. As the site and rap battling itself has evolved, so too have the categories that the site's members are polled upon. Meaning that no one year seems to have the exact same categories as another.
