Current Date: Sunday, December 14, 2014, 5:30 A.M.

A piercing sound breaks the air, followed by music
The milky melody is quickly stalled by a few hits
Bright and early, excited as I rush out of bed
Sit straight at my desk without even brushing my head
I'm finishing my book today or rather should I say
My second draft I'll surely pass and put away
Titled: "Getting Things Done Quickly" by Jason Dillbus
'A guide to perpetual productivity and making millions'
Pristine is king and at this point it's practically perfect
Key word practically, so editing is actually worth it
Want to share my knowledge and the path where I earned it
Practice prose as poetry, constant care in crafting my verses
I've been in routine, spending the mornings checking for things
Like wording, tuning until it's the very best it can be
I've shown some friends, they say I'm prone to spend time on fussing
It's ready to release; proofing they come out finding nothing
Kindly shoving but artists don't release work as prospects
It reduces the entire craft to a worthless process
A writer's words are half godsends, half hard earned progress
This is my charter project I refuse to barter parts with

It's now three hours later, I still haven't showered, ate or
Even found a place for brushing my teeth, exhale sour vapor
Wife's agitated, guess it's the command come for breakfast
Pitted against the serious threat of being hung till breathless
So close, the revisions on the niches had been hard though
Sigh. Not satisfied yet, guess I'll have to finish it tomorrow

Start Date: December 15, 1960
First Draft Completion Date: October 5, 1962.
Current Date: Sunday, December 14, 2014, 8:30 A.M.
