That's not true Jason

We didn't think it was legal for them to listen to our phone calls
We didn't think it was legal for them to save our Google searches, internet searches, and text messages.
We didn't think it was legal for Siri to take every single command we say and record it, save it, and send it to a database so Apple employees could help "better" serve us

The point is, who gives a fuck whats legal. They don't care about whats legal and what isn't. They're invasive, extremely invasive at that. They wouldn't release fingerprint scanning technology on one of the best selling gadgets as a simple gimmick. They'd only release it if they knew they could somehow get the fingerprint saved and sent to them

They introduce these invasive gadgets as fun little things to play with. Entertaining little gimmicks. Like the Kinect camera. But you don't need a rocket scientist or Alex Jones to tell you there's more than meets the eye

a lot of people think shit like "Well i'm not a criminal so why would I care if they have my fingerprint"

And that's EXACTLY how they get you. Who said they're taking your fingerprint in case you commit a crime? NOBODY knows what their underlying motive is...and this same government played with the idea of taking our guns away last year. I'd be more cautious than nonchalant when it comes to purchasing gimmicky technology

that's not to say they haven't been spying on us for ages. I'm just saying, if you can prevent another invasive gadget from gaining even more intel on you, why not take the measures. This doesn't mean don't get an iPhone 5S. It means be aware of what exists around you
