I didn't consider who they picked as winner because I felt both were REALLY close to the point where it was almost a toss-up, and I can understand how someone could pick either one as winner. I mainly considered expo (how well they explained their choice) and rating.
Violent Scripture, Nicholas, and Los all actually ended up being even at the top to me ( I rated all 3 at 6.5). I felt Violent's Scripture's expo was the most personalized, even if I might have disagreed with some of his views. He did the best in offering views that would probably be unique to him, and I value that in an expo. I felt there was a lot of nitpicking though. I personally hate it when people talk about proper grammar in a Rap verse when 90% of the rappers we listen to don't use perfect English grammar. Hip Hop started in the streets, and saying "them jeans" as opposed to "those jeans" in street vernacular is perfectly fine. I don't think Rap should be judged from a standard English composition point of view. Also, both him and Nicholas mentioned how "im" and "ex" in impose and expose don't match up. Once again, that was sort of nitpicking. Someone can slant rhyme the words in a way where it works. A lot of people pronounce "im" as "em" and that ain't (<---perfect English grammar right there) too far from the short e sound in "ex." I felt Nicholas probably had the best expo. It wasn't as personalized as Violent Scripture's but he hit on all the points he considered key to mention. It was concise and to the point. I did feel his ratings were a bit high though. In that regards, I felt Los gave the most accurate rating in that battle. XplissitContent's rating of Dissizit vs Duh Great Whyte was pretty spot on too! Like I said in the beginning, I didn't focus too much on who was picked as winner in this battle because of how close it was. Because of that, I felt both battlers should have been given the same rating. Los was the only one who did that...and he rated them a 4-4, which is exactly what I would have given them. Either that or a 5-5.
I've sent the order of my favorite to least favorite vote to ILLoKWENT. I just thought I'd drop a little expo in this thread. Good luck to everyone in the rest of the contest and I look forward to seeing more votes from you guys.
