Exclamation One Bar Tourney Voting Scheme... ALL ENTER

I'm curious; how do You vote in a one-bar battle?

Reason I'm asking is I'm seeing sooooo many cats voting across the board with shit like "one had a fresher concept". Uhhhhhhh, and?

This is a ONE BAR tournament. That means that in each battle you get ONE BAR to show off your writing skills. THAT means that EVERYTHING has to be tight about the bar; you should have no filler, your multies should be at least accurate and flow well, with direct relevance to the punchline, the concept should be hot and the overall execution of it should be direct and hard hitting. It's ONE BAR; IMO you CANNOT win a one bar battle based on a decent or "fresher concept" alone. Anyone can force together a new or creative concept - no matter how far a stretch it is - and pass it off as "fresher", but if it's not executed well - multies are unconnected, filler, set up is basic - then it's nothing more than a decent concept; it's not a great all-round BAR.

Sure, a played concept or a basic angle might not be as cool as a brand new joint, but if the bar is executed well and constructed in a way that clearly displays a certain writing ability then that bar - in a one bar tourney - holds up.

Long story short, this is about how well a battler can construct a BAR; not if they can think of a "cool concept". Execution is key.

One love.

PS. I understand this may look a little salty, but I'm seeing people all across this tourney down in the votes when they clearly have a better bar, as my voting comments loosely reflect.
