Boxing has always been about ducking each other though. I think it was Don King who lied about the fees just to get Tyson and Lewis in there together. I don't understand how it's such a business. Boxers earn SO much money, that they could easily fight for free and live easily, if they weren't stupid with their spending. Here's a comment from Travis Browne regarding the pay of UFC fighters, which is largely considered to be very low;

"Everybody has a choice. You don't have to fight. You don't have to be in this business, just like if I want to wake up and eat oatmeal instead of cream of wheat, it's my choice. I'm doing alright for myself, and I'm taking care of my family. I know what I'm getting myself into. It's not like their promising me a million and giving me 10 grand. I signed on the dotted line, and I'm doing what I want to do. I'm able to take care of my family and provide, and that's success for me."

On MUCH less money, he is happy with the amount he is being given. A boxer should be more than happy to prove he is the best in the world. Tyson Fury asking for 80/20 over David Haye is literally INSANE. Now I know he's a known ducker, but really? Haye being one of the most popular fighters in the world today, and Fury being unknown to the majority of non UK fans. He's asking for that amount of money because he's scared of his precious record. That's what boxing has become.

Yeah I'll be dropping like €50 on Alvarez as well. Those would be about the odds I go for.

Although I need to watch it streaming because of bullshit Primetime. EVERYONE JUST FUCKING SIGN WITH SKY!
