^ The Kinect has 3 different cameras RGB(like how we see) along with an infrared camera to map out the environment we're in, capture our depth, & recognize our face. The microphone can pick up 5 voices and it has noise cancellation and algorithms to determine who's voice belongs to which person

that's pretty intrusive. Especially on the heels of the military openly admitting they're going to hack video game consoles, & especially since the Kinect holds the Guiness Book of World Records for fastest selling electronic of all time.

let's be honest. The Kinect is the best selling electronic of all time? I bet most of ya'll don't even have one. But it is. Why? Genius marketing is why. They wanna condition ya'll to make the experience of being watched and recorded in your living room 'fun'.

so according to @Jason , it's perfectly normal to FORCE a consumer to buy a Kinect because they're mandatory on the new Xbox. It's also perfectly normal to have such a capable video/audio capturing device when it is a known fact that government & other powerful agencies have contacted Microsoft and asked how they could utilize this technology
