Her disregard for Scotland as a whole is common knowledge, but her disregard to industry was even more baffling. There were several factories in dundee and the surrounding shut down during that time - along with mining towns etc, a lot down to the increase of "indirect taxation" among several other things - that lead to mass unemployment. With this came the benefit cuts and privatisation; those newly unemployed were left with little support from the state (unless they could afford to buy their council houses, which many - such as my family - could not). This meant that my grandfather was left on the bread lines with a family of 5 that he couldn't cater for.
She disregarded Scotland completely, everyone knows that, and I'm very much a working class man, from a working class background that was plunged into poverty at her and her party's say so.
It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, as are you.

EDIT: I know what you mean, there's always a "victim" so to speak, but Thatcher's manifesto affected a whole lot of people in an often devastating way.
