Here are the facts. You know about our culture and the people here because we are influential and nearly the entire world is aware of America and its culture. Making assumptions saying that we are insular and do not know about the world is asinine, we have a presence nearly EVERYWHERE. Whether it be aid to countries that need it, or military bases to help defend our allies or hold a presence in places we strategically need to be. We have military power littered all over the world, including the UK. To say we don't know about the world is blasphemy.
