I met Diamond Dallas Page at a movie theater when I lived in Atlanta. He used to be a famous wrestler in WCW. He was sitting right behind me and my homies with his girlfriend and we shook his hand.
I've ran into Common a few times at Coop's Record store (87th St.) on the South Side of Chicago.
I've met Barrack Obama twice. The first time was back in 2000 when he was campaigning for the Illinois State senate. They were going door to door in my South Side neighborhood and I was checking the mail for my dad and I asked them what they were up to. He told me they were campaigning and that I didn't look like I was old enough to vote. I told him if he wanted to come in and talk to my Pops, he's more than welcomed. This nigga came in and was actually sitting in the living room with me and my dad explaining his policies. Of course it wasn't a huge deal back then because we didn't know who he was, but looking back now and knowing that was the future President of the United States is just wow! The second time I met him was just in passing....it was another campaign and him and his people were having a rally during Afrofest in Washington Park.
I've met Colin Powell and his wife...they spoke to a non-profit (Americorps) assembly I was invloved in.
I've met Arne Duncan...the guy who used to be head of Chicago Public Schools and who Barrack Obama appointed as the nation's Secretary of Education.
I've met Jesse Jackson.
I've met Slum Village... they were doing an album signing at Dr. Wax in Hyde Park (Chicago).
There's another politician but I can't remember his ...and there's a bunch of semi-famous people I've met/known.
