Its true that it COULD have been him on that other website. However, it also COULD have been a lot of things going on. I find it strange that someone would, on their first battle, use a wack verse that's not even a battle verse, word for word (double spaced) in a text box that's not even filled a quarter of the way.

It actually makes perfect sense that he innocently did what he did, which I'll explain right now.

1) It's possible that it wasn't the same person, and this person may have just copied some random verse just to test how our text battles work or for some other reason. As ridiculous as that may sound, its not that much more ridiculous than someone recycling THAT kind of verse for a text battle. 2)

Not really. A) if you were going to bite, that would be the LAST thing you would bite, there were other better posts on that comment board, Leading to B) He obviously doesn't know his ass from his elbow when it comes to this kind of stuff. Which leads to C) He is obviously new to writing battle verses or even writing period, This is THE site text noobs come to. It is the first to pop up in a lot of related google searches. So with all that in mind, it is far more realistic that while having his first battle here, and being unfamiliar with the system, as well as being extremely eager to battle,!he simply copied his verse from that comment board to make a battle, so he could be involved, as well as get people to read what he posted. And until Un debatable PROOF is provided to the contrary, I'm inclined to use my common sense and give him the benefit of the doubt, given there are far more clues pointing to an innocent recycle than there are pointing to a bite. People seem to forget how this shit really works.

Even if it was him, it would be recycling and that is against the rules. As far as whether he should have been given a warning first, that is discretionary and I give warnings first most of the time if the person hasn't received infractions before. As mods, we're often expected to use our own discretion and better judgement, and in this case, I felt like that wasn't something we needed here.

How was a warning not needed? It was his FIRST ever battle on the site, he's not a known multiple account, he is quite clearly new, a warning is EXACTLY what was needed in the situation. I get to each mods discretion but if you're not capable of judging each individual case based on it's merits, we have a problem. And this is clearly a problem as what (If you really stop to think about it) looks like an innocent kid who made a simple mistake because he doesn't know any better , has be hung drawn and labeled as a biter, he could very well have bit., but nothing suggests he bit, and common sense should prevail when you weigh everything up, and that points to some newb making a simple mistake.

If you would have given him a warning first on the basis that it COULD have been him on that other site, that's fine...and if you would have been the mod who first handled that situation, perhaps you would have handled it differently. But my biggest issue with this is are we really going to get into the habit or circumventing and undermining each other, particularly in public? Not only did you undermine my decision with the comments you made on that battle, you also went and un-banned someone who I felt should have been banned without even approaching me about the situation first and telling me why you think he should be un-banned. You're right that there is no proof that it isn't him on that other website, however, there is proof that he used lyrics from another website, regardless of whether it was him or not. I will ask that you PLEASE not do anything like this again without talking to me first.

I will do what I feel is the best for the site and it's members. I don't see why this kid should stay banned while we wait for you to get back in touch, you made a bad call, why should he have to stay banned for your trigger happy mistake? He shouldn't. And another thing. You want to get all upset about me questioning you in public

Why don't YOU and the rest of the lynch mob who put this kid on blast for something he's more than likely innocent, think about how you UNDERMINED HIM? why didn't you WAIT for him to have HIS SAY or approach him before you banned him. It's not 1 rule for him and 1 rule for us. Get over it and suck it up, you made a bad judgement call in haste, so I dealt with it. Start observing each situation and really think about what you're doing when dealing with these things and nobody will have to "Step on toes"
