i admit illmatic was ahead of its time.
but not by much. rakim and kool g rap were spitting dope before him too

but if you want to call an album the greatest because it was ahead of its time
then go ahead lol. it makes no sense tho

and people take for granted how hard it is too come up with new flows and how smoothly jay-z rides a beat. he switches up his style/flow almost every song

and almost every song nas has the same flow! how can you be the best with a flow like his is what i dont understand

you said rap is rythm and poetry
nas just dosent have enough rhythm to be considered the goat.
