Yeah man keep it friendly and see how she vibes. Text is even better for this because you have more time to plan what to say, rather than blurting out some awkward nonsense.
As for meeting her; talk to her over text for now, see how things go and you'll know when to ask her. Don't go in too soon with it though, I'd give it a week to gauge how into you she is and how well you get along over text then ask. But that's all dependant on the vibe man, just take it easy, double check all your texts to make sure you don't sound creepy or desperate and pretend to be interested in her life: even if you're not.
