i don't look back much when i write i'ts stream of consciousness since im kinda a freestyler at heart, i'll go back and replace words and possible add in wordplays/punchlines if i can think of some better ones, usually inspired by the punchlines/words i already have written. when i really sit down and WRITE my shit it gets too meticulous and i hate it. so thats why it usually has the flow to it

same shit in studio man u guys should try it. write your verse, then look away from the pad for a moment and just freestyle then come back to it. not only will it give your verse added flavor it will give the audience a chance to miss your technical skills
