I haven't played the original battlefields, only Bad Company 2. I think the realism of BFBC2 is what draws me in, I actually feel like I'm in a war as opposed to just walking around with a gun in C.O.D. FNC is definitely a first day cop, for me, though. Have you seen the first 15 minutes of the story mode? There's a video on youtube if you wanna check it out.
