Interesting list. Quite a few left off, but to each their own. I did read the article and it's based on multiple criteria, billboard hits and all that is only a portion.

"following criteria, not in any particular order: body of work/achievements (charted singles/albums, gold/platinum certifications), cultural impact/influence (how the artist’s work fostered the genre’s evolution), longevity (years at the mic), lyrics (storytelling skills) and flow (vocal prowess)."

Personally, this system doesn't make any sense based on the list they supplied. Anyway....

Some of the people on it, I just don't understand their position or why they are on it at all. Others I can make a really good case for, like Jay being #1. Not my personal preference, but I can see how/why it makes sense for him to be there.

Missy is probably right around where she is supposed to be.
