Also, there's no reason why people can't use social groups in a draft.
The problem is that if crews cant vote on each others battles(I agree, they shouldn't be able to), then by having larger crews(20 membersish) you're restricting not only the number of battles a person in that crew can vote on, but, also the number of votes which that person can receive on their battles.
