Just seeing this thread randomly after doing some research for some other shit.

Mah Fuckaz Dope - Originally named Made Fresh Daily which was a remake of a 2007 crew, MFD popped up I think late in 2008 and quickly recruited every single top name on the entire site. For perspective, the second best crew on the site was run by me, and the battle for second place was Me Vs Urban Legend (NiXWoN). They were THAT stacked.

Hoodrich All Starts - Both in their original run, and when UA jumped aboard as well. Absolutely unstoppable with the line up they had. I obviously don't remember everyone but with guys like Mani, UA, DeNiro, you don't really need any more.

Made Fresh Daily - The original version. If I'm correct, they had a killer roster with guys like Illimit and War Tank amongst others. My memory of them is foggy but I know they were beasts.

Lyrikal Killaz - Their HOF piece should be up soon, but Top Notch was maybe the number 1 guy on the site for a while and with Askari, Olde English, Meta4 etc., they were number 1 for a run in 2007. Young Hustla Vs Meta4 was an all-LK final, making them on top of the site for that while.

USS - Askari's first crack at a solo site to the best of my knowledge. One of the first crews to mix vets with up and comers. We absolutely took over the forums and promoted the crew like fuck. The win over Back Hand Clique established USS as the top crew at the time. UA, Askari, NawkOut, Rico The Kid and others were involved.

Back Hand Clique - Although they lost the USS feud, their quality was still top level. Top Notch's first crew after LK and guys like Da Piffspoonah, Rican, Rain Matrix, NawkOut and others. The second best crew at the time by far.

(Honourable mentions at this time and before which I either don't know about or was slightly tuned out about. Apocalypse, Click Clack, The Devils Dynasty and Letsbeef Pricks. Audio crews had Supreme Regime, The Foundation and The Union amongst others but back in those days, audio and text didnt mix).

ClassicK - Made a crack name for themselves when HVK manages to bring two rookies in RULE and Krhyme to the top of the site. Pound for pound they probably weren't the best of all time, but they really ushered in a new generation. Later they were able to bring in some bigger members like dmullz, Fame, Rant, AmbitiousFlow and others.

Spectacular Vernacular - remarK had started to break from the mould and become a big name and made his own crew. I was actually an original leader because remarK used to always try to recruit me to High As Fuck, but I didn't add too much to the team. Krhyme had left ClassicK and joined Spectac and there were some solid guys in the team at the time. Definitely a step behind ClassicK though.

LoD (Original) - The site was short on crews at the time and LoD wasn't the hardest in the world, but if you look at the members in hindsight they were solid. Mind Fuck, Krhyme Killz, EtH, Mindless, JWall and some others. Pretty solid crew.

Dead Poets Society - Originally it was a rookie called RhetoricK's crew. I signed up to help him turn it into a top level crew. We picked up grizz and another smaller name or two. It eventually closed down and Rhet became a big name before bringing it back, signing some of the top names on the site like Askari.

Murda Muzik - Originally Classick V2 but really it grew into it's own crew. They brought over some big ClassicK names and later expanded to bring in some more big names from other places. They were very successful in individual smaller tournament wins.

LoD v2 - Unrelated to the original LoD, I think it was Ticket or something who created it. After a slow start, guys like Phil Banks and Erupt later joined and they had probably the strongest audio crew in years and the only audio crew with solid text side.

Turnbull ACs - I'd say the weakest bar for bar of any of the crews here, but since ACs defeated LoD2 and MM I think it earned it's place. I'm not sure if any crew had a bigger site impact considering almost all of the active members on the site 4 years later were relatively unknown guys when they joined the crew.
