@Rant & @Student , yes to Sidecars ... I just don't like ppl using sour mix... smh... lemon juice. Gin and whiskey are generally the way i go hard liquor, so gin in my martini is the way it will most likely go. Not a huge fan of dirty martinis although the olive itself is okay... most seem to be made too salty imo.

Big fan of drinks with quinine or bitters, so G&Ts, Manhattans, Old Fashions... ya.

Tequila has its moments. Margaritas are probably the "girliest" drink I gravitate to. Yet, once again, I prefer less corn syrup in my mixes including in my limeade and tonic, which is difficult to avoid unless I'm throwing down them big $s for fancy shit.

What happened to good ol' simple syrup and lime or lemon juice... smh. Don't put that corny shit in my drink... fuck we have to eat enough of it the way it is.

Also, @Rant , since I was all over the place in my response,

Your friends party version of the martini sounded nice. Not sure if I have a preference whether it is more dry or sweet... I like both, but not sure how sweet of vermouth or gin I have had, so probably lean dry. Going a "liiiittle dirty" only works with a bartender who listens... lmao... but seriously I had some disappointingly salty martinis.

Actually, now that I think about it, I took the lady out the other night for her birthday and had some sweeter gin. I decided to avoid my issue with overly high fructose corn syrup tonics by ordering it with soda instead of tonic, which left me without the bitterness of quanine, but ended up turning out awesome just with lime and soda due to the sweetness of that particular gin... i wish i could remember the name of it... I wanna say it was local to Maryland tho.

^^^ THIS THO! LMAO ... I can't do that extra dirty and jalapeno... you should coin that the Agonize Martini...

Hmmm... I do like me some jalapenos tho... it just seems like too much burning with the alcohol and salt... but, hey to each their own.:grass:

Also, no hate of course, why would you kill the poor Bombay Sapphire flavor with all that salt and spicy insanity... smh in disapproval... lmao
