not really...shit is about as useful as a flashlight in the daytime

only a dozen games will be backwards compatible to start, and the developers are gonna choose which other games are compatible

basically, they came out with a remastered Halo series and now they're remastering Gears when we could've played them on backwards compatibility from day 1. backwards compatibility is an OLD feature on the Xbox One that existed since it launched. it was just locked for developers so the masses couldn't use it.

basically whats gonna happen now is, niggas is gonna 'remaster' games so you have to buy the remastered version and they won't make the original version backwards compatible. it makes perfect sense business wise for them but ultimately it only fucks us over cuz we'll be paying $60 again for games we owned last gen rather than popping the copies we already own into the disc drive
