[QUOTE=Ro aka Thug;1053125]@Godbody can you help me out here

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Two people were elected to Congress 100 years apart. So what?

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

I'd assume that there has to be a similarity in the time that it takes from someone to make congress and then make President.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

People like civil rights, hence, vote for people concerned with civil rights.

Both wives lost a child while living in the White House.

Unfortunate but the likelihood of miscarriage would have been greater back in both of those times.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.

Presidents will only want to rally during the weekend as the people will be working otherwise. Ergo, 1/2 chance.

Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Best place to shoot someone.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

I have always loved this one.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.

South's a fairly big place mate. Next you'll be saying "Both were shot by male Americans".

Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

See above. Cool about Johnson, but again if they were both Southerners, the likelihood of them having the same name would be closer.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

Presidents were generally wanted to be around a certain age. Because of the previous dates you mentioned, that would make both of these people around that age when they were elected.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

See above.

Both assassins were known by their three names.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is known by his four names. So what?...Rohan Rane.

Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

But their first names are NOT composed of the same amount of letters, which would have been on this list had they been.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named "Ford."
Kennedy was shot in a car called "Lincoln" made by "Ford."

Kind of cool stat.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

Backlash?

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

That's not really the "kicker". They both have the word Monroe in them?

Lincoln was shot in a theater and the assassin ran to a warehouse...
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and the assassin ran to a theater...

Large buildings with possibilities to escape, probably in small towns which will always have limited buildings.
