It's not a matter of intelligence so much as mindset. A good percent of people my age would appear just as intelligent as I do, if they actually cared about such things as thinking about our place in the universe, asking the hard questions, and using proper English (or, at least, something resembling it) instead of yelling profanities over Xbox Live and texting each other about every insignificant event in their daily lives.
I honestly can't stand most other people my age. Most of my friends are in college (and before EtH twists that, it's because they're from a Magic the Gathering club, not because I hang out with them at school). |
