I was talking to Jason earlier... shit just aint the same nowadays. I don't think it has to do with how low people are rating battles, but more so what they are rating them on.

Creativity is key, but I see people using bars that have no relevance and/or make no sense, but because they're thinking out the box they are getting praise and votes are working in their favor.

I think it's good to not only judge a bar on it's originality or creativity, but also individually on it's flow, delivery, relevance/plausibility and punch each and every time.

Maybe I'm behind in the times.... It's definitely hard to get over an 8 on an eight line battle, but I've seen it happen often back in the day. I used to give 9's and 10's on 16's when it was due quite often as well.
