Captains do draft rounds, where each captain picks a person from the list of signups, audio text gfx etc. Then... each captain chooses which person goes in each round.

so Teams would be

Blue
Red
Orange
grey

Blue Vs Orange & Red Vs Grey in round 1;

2 text battles and 2 audios. So the captain would (after the draft rounds are closed) choose a person from their squad to battle in that round. Have about 5 rounds, no one personcanbattle in the next round if they battled before, and then tally up the wins afterwards to which captain / team wins.
The Problem With Drafts Is People Don't Stay Loyal And The Situation You're Describing After They're Drafted Is Illmania.

This Doesn't Focus On Crews At All, The Only Point Of Them Is To 1. Know Where Everyone Stands Atm Without Having To Write It Down And 2. To Battle To The Top And Move On (Or Stay But Keep Battling).

There's No Loyalty To Your Current Gym (Crew) You're Simply Fighting As An Individual To Become The Champion.
